These were inspired by but not quite the same as the traditional Japanese Tomobako boxes used to store art. Information As with all wooden boxes of this type, a little warping of the lid may occur at certain times of the year. It is unavoidable because the lid traditionally is a single piece of wood with 2 rails to fit it.
