These stoneware vessels and ornaments will be created by well known artist Ron Mello especially for you. Using long hairs from your horses tail or mane or a friends, we can create a unique statement for your collection. Turn around time varies from several days to several weeks depending on the availability, size and complexity of the vessel. Each one is custom made, unique and different in form and markings. Turkey feathers are applied to many of these works. This would be an option in custom works. A very special gift or memorial tribute for a friend or yourself. Prices start at about $90.00 for small open vessels to over $500.00 for larger covered urns. Click here for more information. After two firing and a cleaning the piece is coated with bees wax or acrylic wax to protect the surface. Horse hair works are intended for decorative or dry storage use, hair, memorabilia or ashes. You can care for them as you would fine woodworking. Keep out of extended direct sunlight and DO NOT place water in these vessels as it will ruin the finish.Thank you for looking..
